If you are interested in joining our discussion group, please send an email to theboisestoa@gmail.com. At this point, we gather only periodically and have not yet established a regular meeting schedule. We generally meet somewhere in downtown Boise at a cafe or a brewpub.
While our group is open to all and there are no requirements to joining, the purpose of our group is to have discussions about Stoic philosophy — its history, guiding principles, and practices — as a way to lead a more fulfilling and peaceful life. Ideally, you will be at least somewhat familiar with some of the Stoic's philosophy's foundational writings, such as Meditations (Marcus Aurelius), Discourses (Epictetus), and the writings of Seneca. We have created a list these and other writings on our Resources page.
