If you are interested in joining our discussion, please send an email to theboisestoa@gmail.com. Or just show up! At this point, we gather only periodically and have not yet established a regular meeting schedule. We generally will plan to meet on a weekday afternnon somewhere in downtown Boise, but this is subject to change based on the needs of the group.
Our group is open to all and there are no requirements to joining. The purpose of our group is to have discussions about Stoic philosophy — its history, guiding principles, and practices — as a way to lead a more fulfilling and peaceful life. Ideally, you will be at least somewhat familiar with some of the Stoic's philosophy's foundational writings, such as Meditations (Marcus Aurelius), and the writings of Seneca and Epictetus. If not, and you have interest, please join us anyway! We have created a list of these introductory readings on our Resources page.
